Creature Feature Art Show - June 6-8, 2024
Monsters, Goblins, Folklore, Dragons, Trolls, Fairies, & all other mystical creatures.
Deadlines and Dates:
- Call for Artists opens Fri, March 15 and entries closes Fri, May 10, 2024. (CALL IS CLOSED)
- Art drop off is Fri, May 24 from 9-2 pm and Sat, May 25 from 10-12 noon.
- Exhibit dates are June 6 – 8, 2024.
June 6 from 5:30-8:30 pm (opening night)
June 7 from 9 am – 2 pm
June 8 from 10 am – 12 noon - Artists retrieve work Fri, June 14 from 9 am–2 pm or Sat, June 15 from 10-12 pm
Awards and Prizes:
Submission fees become the prize pool for award winners for Best in Show, Most Creative Creature, and Wonder Box Spotlight Award. Best in Show will be awarded $100, Most Creative Creature will receive $50 and Wonder Box Spotlight Award will receive $50.
Awards Judge will be announced soon.
Submission Information:
- Show theme is all fictional creatures. Art can be cute or scary, let your mind run wild with it. Be mindful of copyright infringement on all submissions.
- A $25 fee per person exhibiting. You can enter up to 2 pieces and one or both will be juried in. You will automatically have at least one piece in the show if you enter.
- Must be 18 years and up to participate.
- All artwork is required to be for sale.
- Watson Wonder Box will process all sales. 75% commission to the artist, 25% commission to Watson Wonder Box. After the show is over, we will pay you your 75% of the sale via check mailed to you. Please make sure to include your mailing address when registering. You do not have to be present at the opening or the following days of the exhibit, although it does help when selling art.
- Artwork must be 11 x 17 inches or smaller, because of the size of our gallery. The Wonder Box Gallery is a small works gallery and limited on space.
- No AI artwork will be allowed, but all other mediums are welcome.
- You must register before the call closes and payment must be paid to be in the art show.
- All 2D artworks must have a claw tooth hanger or a wire hanger on the back to be hung safely in the gallery space. Your work must have hanging hardware on the back or it will not be shown.
- Watson Wonder Box will not be responsible for art damaged due to improper hanging of system installed by the artist.
